We wish you all a safe and merry New Year! Our CD Release shows are rapidly approaching, we hope you'll join us in breaking in the new year with our new album!

-- December 15, 2007 --

Awesome news! The album is finally complete! We finished mixing Wednesday night and then had the album mastered on Thursday by Jay Frigoletto at Mastersuite Studio in Brookline, New Hampshire. The album is now beginning the replication process at Oasis Disc Manufacture in Delair, New Jersey.

The new album is titled: "Let Come What May" and features nine songs: eight originals and one cover. The release date for the album is set for Saturday January 12th. We'll have our formal CD release party that night at the Lamprey River Tavern in Newmarket, New Hampshire with The Fourth Floor Bandits. Please come out to support us and get your copy of the new album!

Today we put the final finishing touches on the album. It sounds awesome and we're really excited to have the hard part behind us. Over the next two weeks we'll be mixing the tracks then we'll be going to a different studio to have the album mastered. Once it's mastered it won't be long at all before it's in your hands. So while you're waiting come see us this Thursday at Milly's in Manchester!

-- November 23, 2007 --

This past Wednesday the horns went into the studio and tracked half the album. We'll be back in on Sunday when hopefully we'll finish all recording for the album. Everything sounds awesome, we can't wait for you all to hear it. In the meantime, to satiate your Skamasutra craving, check out our gig at Milly's in Manchester on the 29th.

-- November 13, 2007 --

Another weekend of recording is behind us, leaving a majority of the album recorded! This past weekend we tracked drums and vocals - which sound awesome of course. Next week we're recording horns and the finishing touches. By the end of the month we'll have the whole album tracked, giving us December to mix, master and replicate. We're also looking into a CD Release Party within the first two weeks of January. We'll keep you updated on our progress, in the meantime be sure to check out our two gigs at Milly's Tavern in Manchester.

Over two years after the release of our first album: 'You And What Army?' Skamasutra is very excited to announce they're in the studio working on their sophomore album. Tracking is already well under-way, guitar and bass finished recording this past weekend. Drums are going-in this coming weekend. Drums will be followed by horns, and vocals, then finally mixing and mastering. We're looking good for an early January release!    Late last night we finished mixing "She's Mine". The A/V page likes long walks on the beach and making out in the rain....

-- May 15, 2007 --

The Rock-A-Palooza show in Meridith has been rescheduled to June 16th, we don't know yet if we're available to play on the new date.

-- May 9, 2007 --

Last night we finished mixing "Colorblind", the final version is now on the A/V page, enjoy! Stay connected, "She's Mine" should be done within the next week or so.

-- May 1, 2007 --

We've added a new song to the A/V page, it's a rough mix of "Colorblind" one of the two tracks we recorded at Rocking Horse Studio. It's not fully mixed yet, we didn't want to release anything publicly until it was completely done, but we put this up so people auditioning for the guitarist/vocalist positions could hear our new style. This particular song is a good representation of how most of our new material sounds.

We've got a show in Meridith, NH on May 19th, click that Shows page for the goods! We've also moved to the mixing process on our two tracks we recorded at Rocking Horse Studio - more news on that subject within the next couple weeks.

Skamasutra is very excited to announce that we've finished recording our two songs at Rocking Horse Studio. The horns went in last night, played our hearts out, and came out this morning very tired, but also very proud. So recording is done; now the tracks, "She's Mine" and "Colorblind", just need to be mixed and mastered - no small matter, but we're leaving that in the hands of recording renaissance-man Brian Coombes. We can't say for sure when they'll be ready, but we can tell you it won't be soon enough! Keep checking for updates, the tracks are worth every minute.

-- March 23, 2007 --

So Wednesday Greg went in and finished guitar and vocals for both tracks. They currently sound awesome, and we still have the larger half of the band to record! The horns will be going in next Thursday to do what we do best. We're all really excited for the end result, more next week.

-- March 18, 2007 --

I'm very excited to announce that Skamasutra is currently in the studio working on two songs for our press kit! We're in the process of recording "She's Mine" and "Colorblind" with Brian Coombes and Dave Pierog at Rocking Horse Studio (www.rockinghorsestudio.com) in Pittsfield, New Hampshire. I think it's safe to say that once the tracks are ready we'll have them up here and on our site for your listening/promotional pleasure.
We went in yesterday and laid down drum and bass tracks for both songs. Greg's going in Wednesday for guitar and vocals and the horns are going in as soon as we can; needless to say the end result with be phenomenal. We were all very impressed with the whole experience yesterday, the tracks are slammin', and we're looking forward to going back for more! Keep checking back for updates!
